When the defrost cycle in your refrigerator turns on the water drips down into the drain tube and down into the drain pan and evaporates. If this drain tube is clogged or blocked, water can be found leaking under the refrigerator and cause a puddle. To find out if this is the case, you may find ice under the drawer at the bottom of the freezer. If you cannot find the drain hole, your refrigerator may not have it located in this area. The first is the water lines attached to an automatic ice maker or water dispenser, if you model has either of those options. The second is the automatic defrosting mechanism and its draining system in the refrigerator and freezer compartments. Water is not itself used in the method of cooling within the refrigerator and freezer, so any leaking water is coming from one of the two aforementioned sources.

Check the water supply lines leading to your automatic ice maker and any water dispensers or filtration systems included in the door of your refrigerator. A loose fitting can leak more water than you might expect, so ensure all fittings are tight and all hoses and lines are free from kinks, cracks and any signs of damage.
